Project Management Portal

The Project Management (PM) Portal  is a web-based application that  tracks the status and progress of  the project. Each project is  monitored by its overall program  score and each of the five main  program reporting categories: Cost  Management; Cost Performance;  Schedule; Staffing; and Issues. This  application can greatly reduces the  management workload through  automation, increase program  management standardization across  the company, and facilitate  executive insight. It replaces the  PowerPoint-based Program Management  Review format that many companies  are still using.

The screen  shot below provides a summary of  program status through the use of  stop light status indicators. Green indicates there are no  concerns requiring management  action. Yellow indicates a moderate  level concern requiring management  action to mitigate. Red indicates a  critical concern requiring immediate  management action to correct. A +  sign next to the status indicator  denotes the status was changed  manually by the Program Manager from  the status automatically assigned  via the portal's logic formulas.

The PM Portal is consist of  front-end portal and backend  administration. The front-end pages  show the summary and status of  projects to the project managers,  business operators and top  management team. The backend  administration is for Portal  Administrator to setup user account,  access groups and roles, project setup and  other management functions.
